Argosy Adventures

So here we are....day 20....5,000 miles......Galcier National Park! The fresh fallen snow Oh yeah....pictures of our kids with glaciers. Notice the snow here on August 15th! It was a but cold (40's) and rainy but we dragged them from the car to get the pictures. :) That's what good mom's do. In 10 years the glaciers here will all be gone and we got pictures of the kids with 3 of them. Too cold for hiking that far. :( This is the Jackson Glacier along the Going to the Sun Rd. Gem Glacier (top one) and Salamander Glacier Going to the Sun Road Running Eagle Falls in the Two Medicine are of the park. In the spring the water also flows over the top of this falls. It cool. Even cooler was the Moose in our trail along ...

Here we are at one of last meals at the West Glacier KOA. From here we're header to Crow Agency, Montana for the largest Pow Wow in the Nation. A great place to stop for lunch. We were in Grass Range, Montana at an elementary school. The dogs and the kids got to run for a while before we got back on the road. Pretty country. Some tipis at the Pow Wow. There were so many of them it was really neat to see. The picture under this one is from one of the dance competitions. From the Pow Wow we went to the Battle of Little Bighorn. Back on the road for a trip almost straight home. We stayed 1 nigth at a Walmart in Iowa and the last night at the Cracker Barrel in Indiana. We really weren't that tired. :) Cracker Barrels are awesome! They have the best overnighting! (they serve breakfast) Here we are in the driveway. Very late but we made it.

As you may have noticed we couldn't add anymore pictures. There's very limited cell service in places and no service at some of the places we were. Needless to sat the internet was an even more challanging thing. After trying several nigths to try to upload when we did have a signal I just gave up. The signal was so slow it would try to upload for an hour and then kick me off completely. Sorry about that. So here it goes. I'm going to try to group the pictures by date so you can have an idea of where we were and when. I think it may end up in reverse as you view them but I'm trying to figure all that out. I'll start a new post with the dates. I may try to post from the time we got home and then back so you can read them in order. I hope you enjoy the pic. We had a fantastic time! Happy Trails, Jen

OK well since I'm new at this I'm having trouble arranging our pictures in the proper order. I'll do better next time but it's late and tomorrow is a busy day so this will have to do. Yesterday (the 28th) we stopped at a very nice state park in Wisconsin. We had dinner at the picnic tables in the photo. It was tons of fun for the kids. There was a great playground. This is where we were parked which is just the other side of the parking lot on the above photo. It was the perfect spot. Here we our our 1st night on the road. We spent the night at this Cracker Barrel in Michigan. Yup....Michigan. Not exactly on our route but we couldn't pass up a great breakfast. Now after a night at a Cracker Barrel and 1 night at Walmart (photo is mixed in with the Wis. park photos) we're at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. We crossed the Mississippi River, the Continental Divide, and the Missouri River all today! We had such a great time and everyone is really enjoying the trip...

Here's what we'll look like traveling down the road. Cute, huh? We'll be leaving tomorrow am around 4:00. Wish us luck on our journey as you follow us along. We'll update as often as we can. They are ready to go. Just add 2 more boys, 1 more dog, a couple of moms and we're good to go! Check it out! We have solar power. It's like a giant sticker that should hopefully keep our battery all charged up along the way. I finally had a chance to finish the curtains. They came out pretty good. It ended up being 4 peices. Our 1st destination will be close to Mandran, ND. We'll be looking to stay here http://www.parkrec.nd.gov/parks/FLSP.htm . The kids have all been reading about Lewis and Clark so this should be a lot of fun for them.

We're packing up the camper and getting ready. Time has flown by! Who hoo! I'll have some more interior photos in a bit. I've got to go figure out how you can all add comments so we can keep in touch while we're gone. More later.....

We'll be leaving for our adventure in 1 month so we're under pressure to get the White Pirate in tip top shape. Here's what we've been working on..... Lots of sanding going on. Here she is all taped up and ready for her complete makeover. Now she's all painted up and pretty. Back to being the White Pirate again. Wait till you see the new LED lights she's getting! A little bling for the lady. Isn't she beautiful.
